Another lame face just because it's all I care to draw anymore.
spiritdweller (Feb 4, 2005)
none of them are lame though...
davincipoppalag (Feb 4, 2005)
I agree. Your face pictures are some of the things I look forward to most here. This one is great.
clockworkkubrick (Feb 4, 2005)
What nonsense. It's not lame at all! Ohh you're back to soft colouring? |

less chance of illnesstires that grip in the wet (shot of baby strapped in back seat) a good memory Very cool. Looks like a pug-person. Pugs are such ugly dogs.
davincipoppalag (Feb 2, 2005)
Good call Alex..this does look like a pugperson..and I agree, those are the ugliest dogs ever created.. it's ok to shit in public if you are a baby, or a pigeon.. there are always exceptions.

I was vaguely trying to evoke the reader/viewer to compare the two "unsaid rules", it just spices up the picture a bit but I was too vague. Like, little observations can ignite your brain to think about bigger ideas.
thug (Feb 3, 2005)
yeah like don't hit your children in public, don't beat your wife in public (if someone is watching), don't spit off of bridges in public, don't breast feed in public if you are a man, don't throw out cigarette butts when you are driving-that's littering, don't litter, don't have sex in public unless it is dark or only your heads can be seen, don't laugh at homeless people in front of them- wait until you are in private...the list is endless! |

Fearsome Oekaki is (or was) a fun place to draw, you can draw just about anything you want, they only ask that you put a certain level of effort into your work, basically at the Intermediate level or higher. I've been drawing on Fearsome Oekaki for a while now and have never had a problem with the administration. Lately, I've been drawing with a different style that is a bit more sketchy and abstract (you may or may not have noticed this on 2Draw), most people can tell it's just as complex as any other style I've used. I've drawn 2-3 drawings in my new style on Fearsome in the last two weeks and they turned out great, in fact, I've received a lot of positive comments on those drawings.Yesterday I drew another piece in my new style on Fearsome, specifically, a face, which again received some great praise, in fact, a couple people said they wanted to "have my babies", hehe. NOW, this is where everything goes to shit, an "administrator" left a comment on my drawing that says: "some of the thicker lines in this have a lot of voids. I must ask that you draw your lines more cleanly in the future. See rule #3 for more info. I would also appreciate it if you cleaned up this drawing." Here is rule #3: You are expected to put your best effort into whatever you do. Work that shows no effort is subject to deletion. I spent over an hour on this drawing and it's hardly a bad effort, take a look http://www.fearsome-oekaki.com/pics/461.png. Almost every drawing on that site could be deleted if rule #3 was enforced. I replied to the administrator's comment, explaining the obvious hypocrisy of his comments (his drawings are at the beginner level, at best). My reply, of course, only made him angry, logic seems to do that to really thickheaded people. The Feurer was awoken! You can read his resulting babble by clicking or cutting and pasting this link http://www.fearsome-oekaki.com/#461 I'll probably leave one last comment on the said drawing, which will probably get me kicked off Fearsome. Just thought I'd share, bitch, complain, what have you. I couldn't let such bullshit go by without exposing it, needless to say, if someone or something pisses me off, you'll probably see a drawing about it.

You really shouldn't expect much from people on the internet.
NemesisT (Jan 26, 2005)

"Look away but don't look at anything, try to look like you're thinking but not too hard......perfect!"
davincipoppalag (Jan 24, 2005)
I know it's probably supposed to be, but this one looks a bit washed out for me.. not as bold as your usual. To me, it looks unfinished. But, what do I know.
Kloxboy (Jan 25, 2005)
I used color to communicate structure and form, a somewhat impressionistic approach but yeah, it's an acquired taste.
Alex-Cooper (Jan 26, 2005)
Nay-sayers be damned! This is sweet. The odd coloring only adds on to your fish-eyeish composition and makes it look more bizarre. This new style of yours is hella tight.

A stylized portrait of one of my favorite musicians, Tom Waits.
cyclops (Jan 20, 2005)
never heard of him ...but the picture is impressive
Kasha (Jan 21, 2005)
most excellent. I love that coloring technique. Not everyone can accomplish it unless they know facial structure really well...and you know it REALLY well.
Kloxboy (Jan 21, 2005)
Thanks for the compliments everyone. Wow, a comment from Kasha to boot, welcome back Kasha.

Most artists have 2 or 3 true artistic epiphanies in their life time, sometimes none. I, Cloxboy, have just had such an epiphany. I call this breakthrough "Idle Bowels". Sometimes, when all is right in my mind and soul, the essence of my being flows out and into my work, this is one of those times. Today will be the pinnacle of my artistic career, albeit the phenomenon that is me. I always knew this day would come, now I can die.
spiritdweller (Jan 19, 2005)
:) so glad all is right with you...
davincipoppalag (Jan 19, 2005)
I would think ,artistically, that would be akin to a major orgasm..a recurring one. Good for you Clox.. I love your stuff anyway, and if you think you have had an epiphany..I wanna watch!
sincity (Jan 19, 2005)
Time for that colonic. Mr' chicken dude. Cool pic, very funny. :}

The worst TV station, FOX News, gave birth to the 'antichrist of political analyst's', Bill O'Reilly. What a horrible person.
marcello (Jan 25, 2005)
What's wrong with gay men or women marrying? How does that affect your life? Does it make your own marriage any worse? You're voting against something that does not even affect you (because I will assume you're not gay, based on your comments), yet you're highly opinionated about it. What's wrong with that?
Kloxboy (Jan 25, 2005)
Actually, homophobia is not a made-up word (or term) and you're proof of it's existence...I assume you wanted proof, you little detective you. I quoted you because it helps me make my point. You make statements with little explanation and/or your statements don't support your argument. This statement definitely supports what I've said about you: "i happen to agree with some of what is currently going on so i thoughti'd stick up for it against you, the SCREAMER. but go ahead, make awould-be martyr of yourself because the great evil opinionator has come to oppress u with his political ideals of moralism." You agree with "what is currently going on", ok? What's so "agreeable" about what is going on? What exactly? Morals and religion have made wars, some of the worst wars. When so many conservatives vote for the "moral and religious candidate", it's no wonder why the government is so corrupt. It's been proven mixing government and religion has been unsuccessful, that's why it's supposed to be separate. Leave it to the Republicans to blur the lines again. Do you hear voices in your head? I say this because you said I'm "screaming and shouting" but that's not possible. I think you might have a mental illness, consider getting that checked out.
gottin_regen (Jan 25, 2005)
Hmm... i enjoy this coverage. altho. i've no idea wat this Bill did... i'd love to see more front covers from you...
