Thanks guys. This is subjective abstract art, it's whatever you want it to be. A big itch to me, a forest made of candy glass to Punky, let it be whatever you want. Btw Punky, I really like your description. :D
vapor (Aug 9, 2007)
this is neat to look at. i like these colors and shapes.
Nocturnal_Romance (Aug 9, 2007)

Roytje (Aug 10, 2007)
This reminds of a Bakenius. I have no idea why, maybe the colors? :) |

Trying to draw her from memory.
clover_pocky (Aug 8, 2007)
My normal instinct is to offer comfort and support, but Klox, hon, you can't replace her. In some ways, even if you find someone else whom you adore, there will still be the corner of your heart that sees her in every woman, that remembers her and loves her. It's not something you can erase, not if you tried. You really -were- in love with her, but you can't spend the rest of your life waiting for her to come around, or even for her to come back... It's only hurting you, and I don't like to see friends - however new or however known - in pain. I hope you can work through this. If you wanna talk or anything let me know. I know it's none of my business, but it's just kind of a, "hey, if you need anything let me know." That's all. This is really pretty. *hugs* And I'm glad that you chose to draw her as you see her, not how the media would see her. It's a far more personal view.
Kloxboy (Aug 8, 2007)
clover pocky: I've made many of my experiences (good and bad) public though my art and ramblings. To some degree, I've made my experiences other peoples business, so I'm not about to shoot anyone down for giving advice, commenting, suggesting, etc. You're welcome to react as freely as you wish. I think you've got a good hold on my situation, I agree with most of what you said. Everyone you love lingers with you long after they've gone and will probably remain with you for the rest of your life. When I say replace her, I meant I just want someone else to love, I don't intend to find a new version of her. My personal pain will always be expressed in my art, I know this now, it's just how I work. I would be an insane mess if I didn't have some type of art therapy to give me release. Thanks for your thoughts and support.
sweet_insanity (Aug 8, 2007)
i like the shapes here, not too detailed but i still emphisizes onthe good parts *cough-boobs-cough* and i know how you feel... i think it'd be easier for me to find someone to love if i would just shut up about my ex... i blab alot :(

“Your face encompasses the beauty of the whole earth. Your lips, as red as ripening fruit, gently part as if in pain. It is the smile of a corpse. Now the hand of death touches life. The chain is forged that links the thousand families that are dead to the thousand generations to come.” - Edvard Munch
Ziggyhbp (Aug 7, 2007)
this reminds me of violins
MelissaMissy (Aug 7, 2007)
I play viola (and saxophone) and the viola, looking mych like the violin has that rolling thing on the end and my viola is called Rollus because of that roll! Nice peice of art, I love the colours.
Ziggyhbp (Aug 7, 2007)
i play the sax too... alto sax :D... i drew sonny rollins (greatest tenorsax player alive)... check it out MelissaMissy http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/86346/
Wraith (Aug 7, 2007)
I was not going to comment on this... But, the more I look at this, the more I like it. I see a Shopping cart wheel, a Black hole Sun, a Caramel whipping machine, That violin head Rollus or whatever, One of those twist design loli pops... Just like Davinci said. |

See, when I tried to look at this last time all I got was a blank page with an error box. I'm really hating our internet provider. Just hate.K, so when I saw this I thought it looks like the promo pictures of the original Star Wars (I wish I remembered the artists name, but I can't) it has that look. Anything to do with Darth I'm happy (that is baddass Darth. :]) |

Even in her absence, a woman lingers there, sucking away at your heart and sanity. Every -love- passed cripples and devours the soul. This is my interpretation of 'The Vampire' by Edvard Munch. The original painting by Munch This is indeed an interpretive dance, not a remake. Aside from style and the title, my biggest change was the reversed hair to background color composition. A redhead wouldn't be appropriate for my interpretation. I've always loved Munch's work and this is hardly a tribute or even an homage, it's just me visually commiserating with Munch's painting.
davincipoppalag (Aug 4, 2007)

Wow is he/she shaking? Because it sure does look like it's shaking. This piece has movement to me. Like he/she is scared of where he/she is at. Dream Like. Once again Amazing.
davincipoppalag (Aug 2, 2007)
There's something trapped inside. Sometimes the eyes look open...sometimes they look closed. Great stuff
