Avatar art for gaiaonline. I can't believe I spent this much time on a freebie. :/I can't really think of a background idea, anyone have any recommendations?

Before you add a background, I'd recommend improving the quality of your lineart, finding a definite source of light for your shading and adding detail to the piece as a whole. It's a cute concept, but the colouring seems sloppy. Even if something is free, you should ensure that whoever gets the image gets something of quality. Just my two cents. |

Engrish FTW.It pains me being a Japanese-American and seeing Merchandise sporting "Cock-a-Cola" or a T-Shirt with "International Rape Star" on it -_-; But, I digress. I'm loving the look out it, esp. if you added more detail to the hands and worked the background a bit, this could definitely bloom into a fun piece. |

One of my favorite photographers on Deviantart is hakanphotography, so I decided to draw one of my favorite photos that hakanphotography took. <3I understand that I didn't draw the model looking in the right direction and that a lot of other details weren't included in this drawing, but I tried to cover as much as I could stand (my hand gets cramps a lot and I started cramping right after I finished cleaning up the line art ;___; ). I'm sorry if it doesn't look similar enough to the photo that I wanted to draw out. ^^;; Model:Suga Nakayama Reference Photo

I like it, it doesn't matter it isn't an exact match. Those bold lines are great, only thing bugging me is that tiny piece of white in the down-left corner. |

Since all of the pictures on my user board are anime pictures, I decided to add my first oekaki'D realistic attempt. :DI wanted to google "Dammit" so I could draw a picture of some one's face going like -> U8< , but I saw this picture on the first page and decided to draw this one~ It doesn't look like the reference picture very much, though (specially the pinky ->wrist area -bleh-)... I guess it's as close as I'll get for now since this was my first try. ^^ p.s. Is this considered beginner's material or intermediate? There are somethings in this picture that I think are noobish, but there are somethings in this picture that I think came out pretty good. What do you guys think of this picture? D: I wanted to fix the coloring on the digits a little bit, but it doesn't really make a difference to the picture. :P

I think it's intermediate, you spent enough time on it and the face is nice. The hand could use a little more work, though. |

It's a picture taken off of a 4chan-like site. XD I get a lot of my refrence pictures from places like 4chan and such.[edit] Done done done! p.s. Half of it was done with a mouse (because when I first started this I didn't have a tablet) and the other half was done with a tablet. :D |

So after a bit of work, I finally got around to coloring (well, I tried v____v ) the pretty pink princess. :UI hope you guys like it, C&C welcomed as always!! A reference photo was used!

It looks good so far. I especially like the angle.Oh dear, I don't know how to shade hair! Now I shall research before going any further with the coloring.
I'll just settle on this blank looking background, my coloring "skills" are dull and lame, so I don't want to ruin the picture with a crap background... yet.
