Octavia Rex
Hokori
(Feb 17, 2008)
This is Octavia, from an untitled story in which a group of people fight to preserve the existence of dolls--beings who aren't technically alive. She is a doll, so she is a cloth form stuffed with thread, something very uncommon among the others.Alongside the scissor-wielding Auguste, the magician Chadwick, the armless Ebenezer, and two pairs of siamese twins (who are rather skilled in the art of kicking your ass), Octavia must figure out why she is constantly attacked, and why she is so unique... even if the truth is disturbing.

This is a pretty and free-flowing drawing. Nice work

I love your stylish works. I remember when you first came your pieces were sketchy, but you've come a long way baby. :)
Hokori (Feb 17, 2008)
You are both just sweeties (and one happens to have the word in their name? HA!). I should redraw my very first drawing like many people do. It would blow my mind, that's for sure. Gaaaaawd, my first drawing looked like steaming poo.
Sweetcell (Feb 17, 2008)
Hahahahahahahahaha................... steaming poos punny. |

That's what he's probably saying, I think.Just a doodle. I'm experimenting with how thick the lineart lines should be--I like how this came out.
Sweetcell (Feb 16, 2008)
This is beautiful Ashlee, those tones of orange brown and beige are such a soothing cobination. Stick to Intermediate honey, this'll be bumped off too soon with all the doodles. Well done.

This reminds me of Peter Pan somehow...It's nice. |

I've been so busy on the outside that I regularly forget the in.Doodle while I wait for my stupid friend to learn how to type IMs faster. She's a Grammar-Nazi AND she speaks a mouthful. At least I get the idea of speed typing. It shouldn't take two minutes to type 'Hello! How you been doin', friend?'! |

I've drawn him before--just an original character... meh. I've gotta' go to John's Incredible Pizza! I'll finish it later. Edit: If you look into his freaky empty eye socket, it plays tricks on ya!
enjoydotcom (Dec 9, 2007)
Is he made out of stone? I love how you shade your stuff, I've tried and failed at doing 'hard' shades like that, I always end up blending the thing. |

I FINALLY figured out how to make the lines super thin, like MS paint. So now I'm not as hindered! Yay?The main character from my manga 'Dillon'.
Sweetcell (Nov 9, 2007)
Pen tool on it's smallest. But I don't like the pixelated jagged edges it leaves behind. That's why I like using the airbrush then coming back with an erasure. Takes longer but the lines are so smooth. He is scary lookin' he is. Like how you did the red on the bottom.
Hokori (Nov 24, 2007)
Yeah, normally I smooth out the jagged lines, but for some reason I just didn't feel too up to it here... I can't remember why... |

Wow, it's been soooo long since I've used this program... since I sucked, years ago!I'll get back on this Oekaki program again, just to see how it plays out... I'm soooo used to MS Paint, and I've figured out its got the basic principles of that program, so yay! |
