This is one of my favorite pictures at 2draw.

This may be my favourite of yours. Great stuff.

I'm having all kinds of problems with this draw.....I can't get the "clarity" that I want.....it looks cloudy or something to me....I dunno what's wrong. I might end up deleting it, and drawing something else. I never did an all black and white draw before.....I'm so used to using colors. Oh well.....a first time for everything. Any suggestions and/or criticism would be welcomed.....I need help!!! "lol"!! :) There isn't any more that I can add to this pic, so I'm posting it as "finished".....if I keep "messing" with it......I'll just screw it up....."lol"!! I can always add some finishing touches to it later on.....

I like your drawing because it's less tom cruise-y than the Lestat in the movie. This fits more with my mental image of him from the books. I don't particularly like the texture on the building, but that seems more of a trademark for your work, so I respect it in that way. Over all, nice job on this piece. :)
firecracker (Oct 2, 2010)
Thanks very much for commenting "artsy".....I appreciate it. You're right.....this draw is less tom cruise-y than the Lestat in the movie. I never did read the book.....but I loved the movie. Using the texture tool is a habit that I have....I can't seem to finish a draw unless I add some texture somewhere...."lol" Yes....I agree....I think the building would look better without the texture, but I'm not gonna change it now....I'll just "mess" things up if I start messing around with it...."lol". I'm glad you like the pic though....Thanks!! :)
lori (Oct 29, 2011)
what if you used the sharpen tool on this to get the effect you seem to desire?
firecracker (Oct 29, 2011)
Hi Lori.....I think you can only use the sharpen tool in lascaux .....I don't think chibi paint has it. I haven't been to chibi paint in awhile....I'll have to check there to see if they added a sharpen tool since I've been gone. I love using the sharpen tool....it gives you great effects.....I wish chibi paint would get it. :)

My 2nd attempt at doing a "Kiss" draw......I'm not quite finished with this....I'm having trouble with his hand....I hate doing hands, but I'm trying. I'm not really a "Kiss" fan, but I like the way they look with their painted faces.....that's why I decided to do a "Kiss" draw. I'm posting this as "finished"......I can always work on it more later....:)

Hi "paintbrush"......thanks for the nice comment......I'm glad you like this pic.....I kinda like it too. I still don't feel like an artist yet.....I have a lot to learn, to improve my draws. I'm still an "artist wanna be"...."lol". I can do good on some pics, and I have problems with other pics.......this one turned out ok though. Thanks again for commenting.....I appreciate it. :)

Well....I guess this is a bad habit of mine.....I watch too many "horror" movies...then I sometimes have nightmares...."lolz"! I'm not finished with this pic yet....I didn't know what else to draw....I don't drink...I don't smoke....I don't do drugs....so I had to think of something, and I figure watching too many horror movies would qualify as a bad habit . I grew up watching spooky eerie movies....my brother, sister, and I all have this habit......my brother finally sorta grew out of it....my sister still loves horror movies.....she has the habit worse than me...."lolz". If this doesn't qualify for the contest board.....then just "bump it" to wherever you want......:) I have to post this to "finished" so I can start another draw.....I might try to add more to it some other time. Thanks again for 3rd place.....I really appreciate it!! :)

Peak numbers of visitors occur in the summertime, when Niagara Falls are both a daytime and evening attraction. The oldest and best known tourist attraction at Niagara Falls is the Maid of the Mist boat cruise. Along with letting you take glimpses of its astonishing beauty, the premises also will leave no stone unturned to enlighten you about the Niagara’s ancient culture. The spot contains ample of museums including the Native American Museum of Art, the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, and the Castellani Art Museum.

One of my favorite big cats is the black panther.....so I saw this ref pic, and I thought I'd give it a try. Well.....I'm posting this as finished for now.......there's still some stuff that I want to work on.....but I think I fixed up the "out of focus" look to his face and eye area, and I added some whiskers...."lol". I'm still not satisfied with his tongue.....I'll deal with that later. I thank you guys for your comments and cc's......I hope he looks a little better. I really luv black panthers......:)

This is my first time trying to draw a male "torso".... so please bear with me.....it's far from perfect.....but I'm not gonna do any more work on this draw.....I'm tired of working on it. I think it looks ok, since this is my first attempt at drawing a torso...."lol"....:)

FC, it looks perfect! You perfectionist! Please don't delete it! Hot stuff!:))
firecracker (Aug 24, 2010)
Thank you "mad", for your nice comment......I'm glad you think it looks ok......I've wasted so much time just trying to make that one hand look perfect, and I can't do it. I did feel like deleting it, but I guess I'll just leave it be.....I'm tired of wasting time on this draw. I guess I'll just post it as "finished" and be done with it. I was gonna change his hair color to red.....I tried it, and my sister looked at it, and said that she doesn't like red-haired men...."lol".....so...this is the way it's gonna stay.....whether I like it or not. Thanks again for commenting "mad".....I appreciate your comments and opinions....:)
madscientist111 (Aug 25, 2010)
The hair looks perfect! Sometimes I think guys with red hair remind me of Howdy Doody or Bozo the clown! LOL!
firecracker (Aug 25, 2010)
"LOL"!! "mad"....Howdy Doody or Bozo the clown....Hahahaaa.....that really is funny.... I guess I have to agree with you.....I never cared much for red haired men....they look kinda nerdy or something....I dunno what it is.....but most of them are just not very manly looking......but there are exceptions though. Speaking of Howdy Doody.....I used to watch that show all the time when I was a little kid. I never much cared for Bozo the clown though......my sister hates clowns.....she says they're scary. I'm glad I decided to keep my "hunky hunk's" hair the original color....I'm not gonna change it....."lol"!! Anyways.....thanks for your nice comment.....I really do appreciate it. :)

"Wow"! What an awesome draw, and what a beautiful thing for you to do.....to adopt this gorgeous blind dog. I live with a blind dog.....she's a rottweiler named "Zelda", and she's my sister's dog. She's about 9 yrs old, and she's been blind for about a year or so now. She gets around really good, but she does bump her head a lot. My sister should teach her to carry a basket around as a buffer, like suntan said that her aunt taught her dog to do. Awesome draw!! :)
Teapot (Jul 10, 2010)
I've never met a blind dog. They rely so much on their sense of smell and hearing I guess it's not quite as bad if we go blind because our other senses are not as keen as a dog's. It's so lovely you are taking on the care of this sweetie. I LOVE English bulldogs...stubborn but so sweet-natured. I'm going to be caring for a dog with severe epilepsy for a couple of weeks. I'm a little nervous about it. Started fostering rescue dogs...have a beagle and a Maltese at the moment. My life just doesn't feel right without a dog (or six) in it.
montezmaria (Jul 10, 2010)
I'm sure you'll do just fine, Teapot. Yes, English bulldogs are very sweet dogs and have silly ways about them. The breed really touches me and I am in love with them. It is too bad they have so many health issues though. Alphie, the blind bullie I have is amazing at how well she does with her sense of smell and hearing. I swear at times she can see, but know she can't. Sad to say she use to see until neglect of her owners caused her to be blind, due to infections in her eyes untreated. She is a wonderful, loving girl and I love her to death. Wouldn't trade her for any other dog. I'd love to have six dogs myself, but I'll settle for two at a time.

Bless her little heart! What a great thing to do, Ree.
