It's an improvement
Flubbles (Dec 18, 2008)
If i got up out my chair and wiped my ass on the moniter it would be improvement from the last one.I think we should offer some encouragement to these youngsters though, so well done its a step in the right direction. |

Great form to all of your pieces, and an incredible style to boot.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in undergrowth, Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim Because it was grassy and wanted wear Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black Oh, I marked the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads to way I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Robert Frost ~ 1875

oh Aakyra, this is truly a master piece. So lovely. You put so much of yourself and attention to every aspect of your draws.
Aakyra (Jul 20, 2009)
Sorry for the delay in saying thanks! I do appreciate the thoughtful comments. And Grey Ghost, I love the poem, it really inspired me to work to the finish on this. The picture seemed to be a visual of the words. Thanks QT! I am always honored by a commeny from you, and Sun, good friends always!
sofballchik0323 (Aug 10, 2009)
oh this is beautiful!! the poem is great too, i actually sang a song with those words for as a solo a few years ago, my first thought when i saw this was that you had heard the song, it adds another level of meaning to the words as only music can. but this is an absolutely gorgeous painting and i hope you do more landscapes soon :)
Aakyra (Aug 10, 2009)
I am sure that your performance was wonderful... the words are really beautiful, and I didn't think until you mentioned it how lovely they would be set to music! Thank you for the comment, it was so very nice! |

First time posting here. 2draw.net has been recommended to me by several people, so I thought that I'd give it a try. Must say that I like the Lascaux applet very much.About this, I love Abe Lincoln quite a bit. He's a very difficult personage to capture and I always find myself lacking when I attempt a portrait of him. But I like the challenge. ref photo: http://z.about.com/d/arthistory/1/0/9/g/pa_neh_18.jpg

Well done, love all the detail :)

Fantastic finish!

I like how youve used the soft tool to blare the background so the details become more apparent in the foreground. |
