This is a Pheonix that i'm working on. i've drawn many birds in this position, but they've never been stasfatory. i don't think this one will be either, but it'e worth the effort.
edit: finished. not quite as perfect as I would have liked, but that's ok. I'm just practicing with the watercolor brush now. I'm just satisfied.

Photo was used to get the basic idea of the pose. I started with my face about a yard (about a meter) away from the screen, and I don't have perfect vision, so it started kinda lousy. It's finished now though. :)

god, this looks just like one of the birds that was in my dream when I was just having a nap... they were up on the ceiling while I was trying to unclog a drain in an auditorium?? it came out good, perfect wing shape, nice

Well, I'm submitting it now b/c I'm scared my computer will flip out a quit out of Safari, and if it did that then I would have lots 1hr and 30min's worth of work. And I would have screamed. So yeah. I'm still working on it, but it's almost done.
