Ooh.. is it after Alice?I can't really see a lakes of tears here.. are the colored roots tears joining the lake?
Eneko77 (Jun 5, 2010)
Thank you both. : )The book is called (translated): Collector of Tears. And, yeah, its about him. These roots are plants which collect emotions. The colour stands for one particular emotion. |

If it's going to be in a book, I'd suggest you work on it a lot more.
The purpose of this collector tool should be clear to the viewer, and you could also work more on perspective here.
I also think your other painting with tear-pond should have a clearer atmosphere, it's hard to draw emotions but maybe each could get to the pond in a typical way to the specific emotion rather than random lights circling a blue vortex. I'm not even sure what I'm talking about but I think a real book needs more. Good Luck.
But you're right. There lacks quality. But I'd like to have a rather sketchy style in these works because it fits the atmosphere in my book. It's kinda dreamy and melancholic and therefore "mechanical" or "objective" drawings would be misplaced.
The purpose is explained in the text. It collects tears.
The other pic seems like there is a vortex instead of a lake to you? I'll rethink it.
You're right. I'll work on on this thing.
