StrawberryYamichan (Dec 26, 2004)
I think the colouring looks good even if ye were lazy
ILoveKenshin (edited Dec 26, 2004)
If you're going to attemp furries, you should get a longer canvas, and focus more on the actual person and proportions, and stuff. Then you could get the details down faster.edit: You should also try to spend a little more time on stuff, it'd probably look nicer. >_>
DinoFlorist (Dec 27, 2004)
Boo on you naysayers. I can't really tell you how to draw a "furry," but I can tell you that this is a good piece. Its loose, sure, but thats not always a bad thing. The composition is nice. Both the color and shading are well done. I mean, this is a fast, loose, piece, but it's still one of your best in my opinion. Focusing on the actual person is not always the best way to make a beautiful picture. Look at all the crappy furries people draw with backgrounds that are just a pattern or worse. (I am sometimes guilty of this too.) Putting your main focal point INTO (and not in front of) their environment makes for a stronger and more realistic picture. |

As suggested by monkeyboy.. Technology advanced again..intravenous pizza is commonplace (Marcello finally sent me a T-Shirt..and I'm very close to finding out how to post on the Wiki) ,but, alas, after 20 years I'm the only person who comes here so I have to comment on my own pictures.
vamp2 (Dec 25, 2004)

I was looking through the idea box and came across "a blouse leaving on a bicycle"...which makes a pretty funny picture. Here's what I came up with.I've tried to finish this three times and my computer always crashes when I go to submit it. I tried on another computer too, and the applet won't load up when I hit revise (but will for a new drawing). This is really frustrating, does anybody know how I can finish this? Nevermind, I managed to get it to work on my boyfriends laptop. I managed to get this to work finally on my boyfriends laptop. I bow down to people who have the patience to use a touchpad regularly...it's hard! Somehow it doesn't look as good as it did last time.
Sorry if the colours look funky...I'm not used to laptop screens, and everything looks really different on here.
DinoFlorist (Dec 21, 2004)
Haha! I think you did a good job not only with the picture, but illustrating what could be a very abstract event. Nice!
davincipoppalag (Dec 21, 2004)
I agree! I love when people do idea box pictures,, this is great
Tresspasses (Dec 21, 2004)
Thank you for the nice comments. I really had a lot of fun doing this. |

"Hmmph!" the Muffin King wondered aloud, "maybe I shouldn't have put that dock in after all." The Muffin King watched from his bedroom window as a strange fleet from a far away land began to make their way onto the coast. He was concerned about this. The large brown box with the tail and the blue admiral's hat lead a small expeditionary team that appeared to be making their way to the castle. The Muffin King studied the creature carefully. A short snout, no visible teeth from where he could see. The Muffin King had to be careful; muffins were at the bottom of every food chain, and the kingdom's inhabitants had no arms (physical appendages OR weapons) to fight with. Muffins had traditionally ruled this forgotten land with their cunning wisdom and formed alliances with surrounding city-states. As the party of foreigners appraoched, the Muffin King sent out his orders to his servants. He would entreat the box and his companions to dine with him in the Muffin Hall. Their meal would consist of the finest fish in the Yeastern Sea!

Oh, I'm sure I know EXACTLY how awesome ben is. Seem to really see into his talents, especially with these Muffin kingdom pics. His real thoughts and imagery shine through, and would love to view his wedding invitations, for I'm sure they must be truly beautiful. Ben. You do fantastic work. :}

Does anyone know the origins of this saying? I think it's funny...
DinoFlorist (Dec 20, 2004)
I think that the muffin king said it once...
tidus (Dec 20, 2004)
maybe an alein said it when he land ed here
Tresspasses (Dec 20, 2004)
I don't know...in case anyone is interested, I did find this on it:in a nutshell In few words; briefly. This phrase -- or its Latin equivalent, at least -- appears all the way back in antiquity. The famous Roman orator Cicero is said to have mentioned a parchment copy of The Iliad so tiny that it could literally fit right into a nutshell. (from http://www.funwords.com/library/i.htm ). An odd phrase, and nobody really seems to know where it came from.
Kilala (Dec 20, 2004)
Ahhhh! Words! It burns! |
