The hand is very well done, and not overdone, which is why I like it. My favorite part is the little wispy people.
terracotta (Jan 28, 2006)
I used to have those! One summer I ran a bakery and worked the graveyard shift. I kept forgetting to go to bed for two or three days running. You know...I haven't seen them around since then. Kinda miss 'um....
phantasmagoria (Feb 3, 2006)
they are very sweet.
and make that lovely chiming noise

Pretty indeed.
Pseudonymous (Jan 17, 2006)
This is rather lovely. I like the shine on the lips and the eyeball.
Ty854 (Jan 18, 2006)

I really like this one. I would have emphasised the toes on our left, his right, a little less, but the mood and pose are very effective. Something about the whole thing conjures the past for me, my past, like when I was around 18.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jan 11, 2006)
Imagine that, a guy on a couch. Guys never get on couches. This is moody and I like it, as well.
staci (Jan 17, 2006)
its no doubt his moms couch.

I LOVE THIS! *cheer*

I love the window.......I would love to see the whole house it's connected to.
Axil62 (Jan 17, 2006)
I'll post a link to the house. Note though, that I used different parts of the three windows at the bottom and combined them to make one window that had all the properties I wanted for this one window, so this window will look familiar to the windows in the ref, but not a literal copy of any one of them. Thanks for sharing, great windows on that house....but I like yours better....and not just because you left off the cheap K-Mart mini blinds...
HunterKiller_ (Jan 17, 2006)
This just great. Very moody, the first glimpse of this just made me think of summer time, ice-cream, cicadas churping. Fantastic work.

Great job! Love the reflective colors in the marble. Brilliant spectrum of colors!

TumblingUpwards (Feb 17, 2010)
Very nicely drawn, I did a painted body once and found that to be quite difficult. The clean up of the model afterward was quite fun though and well worth the hassle.

KuteDymples (Aug 22, 2006)
He looks very realistic, and the eyes are great!
Sweetcell (Aug 22, 2006)
It's an oppossom monkey of course. A rare breed that's rarely been seen and on the endangered species list.

He's so cute.

one of those crappy cliche paintings you might find at the flea market.

True, if I saw this at a flea market I'd probably dust it off and buy it, although the flea market reference made me think of my first oil art teacher... she did tons of "flea market" paintings. I hated her. Stupid, fat, ugly, untalented beotch.

Hey look, some flowers in a pot.
SYTHE (Jan 15, 2006)
That one flower is getting picked on by all the other flowers, that's okay he'll have his revenge......he'll have his revenge....

I really like the idea behind this and it's looking good so far. The only thing I'd mention is that the mountains would be even more powerful if they were crisper where they meet the sky. The clouds, on the other hand are beautiful, and I think they should reach the very top of the painting.

I'm tired of this one
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 14, 2006)
I think it's beautiful just like it is. I always wonder why I've never seen a sunset in these colors in Texas (not to my recollection, anyway)
davincipoppalag (Jan 14, 2006)
This is what the sky looks like at sunset when there's a storm coming in. Very different.
