I do soooooo love this. I know I say this sometimes, but if this were a real painting, I would buy it, snatch it up, and give it a whole wall in my house to live on. I think it would be gorgeous in a pewter or a tarnished silver frame, an antique one. You did such beautiful work on it. It has a little life of it's own.

"Taste the rainbow"Seriously I love that you kept it in. I know people are saying there's no head but to me it looks like the head is in shadow. There's the beggining of the base and it fades out. It's powerful, like a reminder for those who still suffer everyday from starvation or desease. Beautiful piece and message Roy. Oh, I should say in keeping with the theme of suffering, the rainbow looks to be hope for something better. The end of suffering. K Ill get off my soapbox now. :)

Nuh uh, he's busy with the tiara, I'm aiming. Shoot first, talk later. :)(I'm afraid you're gonna have to paint me new tights... these are ripped all to hell (along with my legs). This field Death hangs out in is loaded with briars and thorns.) Next time I go crawling around in the dark stalking death I'm changing into my rip-stop camo. By the way, did I never mention that the reason I commented on this is that although simplistic, it's a very good piece of art that imparts a very strong mood. No, I guess I never did, but now I shall.

In a 4 foot deep pool in Uncle Joe and Aunt Betty's backyard. With smoky links, hotdogs and hamburgers cookin on the grill, and watermelon after. Then we'd all wait 1 hour so we wouldn't get a cramp and it was the longest hour in the history of time itself. Then I'd become a mermaid, once again.

:D I can totally relate to this. One of my favorite fairy tales... I think it was Grimm's... was the one where the mermaid agreed to give up her fin to be earth-bound, and she had to have feet that felt like swords piercing everytime she took a step in order to be with the man she loved. (Of course he was probably a stupid Prince or something, isn't that the way it goes?) I've always been way faster and stronger and had more endurance in water than on land... I still wish I were a mermaid. This picture made me smile. :D

I still totally agree, and I'm ... well, I'm FORTY SOMETHING! :D. The best part of high school was smoking in the bathroom, hanging out in the football player's locker room, and of course... art class. My senior art teacher was really cool, though... she had the best weed in town, and she made it a point to smoke at least one right before our class.I don't know why I thought of this just now, but one year, Just for fun, I registered for band and stayed in there about two weeks... the director's name was "Mr. Pugh"... imagine that... he was all greasy and his pants were always falling off. When I realized we were going to do nothing but play and sing "Yesterday" by the Beatles over and over and over and over again....I changed my schedule.
