(Apr 18, 2008)
This is the main character from my story Blood Lust. I'm practicing my proportions so any crits and tips are welcome. I already know that back foot looks a lil funky...its been bothering me the entire time.
enjoydotcom (Apr 18, 2008)
The head is big compared to the body, the feet and hands are a bit small if you ask me. Usually the average height is a person is 7.5 times the length of the head. If you erase the line of the foot we see first that makes the heel look floppy, that foot will look better I think. Her left foot should be a bit bigger. So should the hands. Hope this helps.

Thanks :) This does help a lot. |

Practice with humans in oekaki. I hate her hair so its probably going to be changed later. Crits would be loved. |

This is a safety save. Lalique is my fursona and in this picture, I wanted to try adding a longer snout and make her a bit bigger. I'm adding her long mane in later but for now, I think she looks pretty good. Darn these impossibly small canvases.
psychofox0 (Aug 7, 2007)
I like her, she's cute. ^w^ Though, with line art in lascaux I put the flow low around 80-ish and the opacity around 130-ish, and I go real slow. XD. I use the the air brush tool.. umm. like the one on the bottom. I then use the eraser set on mid opacity and mid flow, and then clean up the lines to make them even cleaner. X3. If you have any questions on that I would love to try and help. Just note me. <3 the stars on her leg. X3
Sweetcell (Aug 7, 2007)
Giving out my secrets Aaron? :)May I suggest, the upper body looks fine, but her lower body is just too small. Especially her haunches (lower legs, butt) If you use the move tool (making sure flow and opacity are all the way up and anti-alias is unchecked or else you'll get a shadow effect) and move her up a bit and to the left you can make her lower body bigger. She's pretty, but right now she looks distorted. And for the halo, take advantage of the circle tool, you'll get a nice smooth round curve.

Thank you psychofox0 and Sweetcell. I will try that :) |

This is a safety save. Yes I realize it looks really crappy because I didnt finish wiping out the color outside of the lines but it will look really good when its done. Btw, does anybody know how to do that without having to go and erase by hand?
Sweetcell (Feb 3, 2007)
You have a small window to delete, then it's set in stone. Look at it this way, you have a free canvas to draw on. Just try again.
Celestial_Wolfess (Feb 4, 2007)
Ok, thanks :)Did my best to erase the stuff outside of the lines. Dont know why they decided to move this to the beginner board cuz it aint beginner. I just draw in a different style than everyone else. Oh well. Anyways, expect it to be shaded within the next two weeks and i'll think about a background for it.
I added shading and a temporary background. Yes my shading sucks...

This is just a picture of a brown wolf with a beautiful sapphire eye. Submitting this in beginner even though I know its intermediate because of what happened with my last picture. Havent drawn here in over a month cuz of that and probably will upload very few things in the future. Anyways, I was trying my hand at semi realistic fur and some parts of it came out better than others but its still a work in progress.

This is gonna be ownage!
Celestial_Wolfess (Jun 9, 2007)
Thanks!!Added a background with a sapphire (well, its supposed to be a sapphire) with light beams coming out of it. It owns!!!

This is my character Sparxxx outside in the middle of a huge thunderstorm that she created. Her element is electricity/lightning. She's Fuego's daughter.
pandabarrie (Oct 22, 2006)
the character design is pretty cool. i would sugguest you try using layers so your line art doesnt get blurred though.
Skai (Oct 22, 2006)
Pandabarrie's on the right track. Also, you might want to get some good references on canine anatomy and lay off the watercolor tool for coloring. What you want is solid color, not blotches of it on white. If you want to practice with it later, that's fine, but I think you need to get a little more in tune with the basics.
Celestial_Wolfess (Oct 27, 2006)
ok, thanks :) |

This is my fursona Lalique. She is a cross between a Kitsune and a Collie. She has long flowing brown hair, a halo, and earrings.Note: Lalique is always changing. No two pictures of her look the same. |

This is the character reference for my character Fuego. I know you can't really read the words on it so i'll just tell you. He has long fiery hair, a intense coat, a sharp glare, his tails look like flames, and wherever he goes, that firelike mist around him goes with him. (thats why it doesnt cover the whole canvas.
KairiTetsuDoom (Oct 14, 2006)
THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER. TIS BEE AYE YOU TAFULLLLL
Celestial_Wolfess (Oct 22, 2006)
Aww, thanks :) |

This is Fuego. He is a fiery kitsune. He is the father of one of my other characters, Sparxxx.
KairiTetsuDoom (Oct 12, 2006)
Just like a small tipp; When drawing wolves or animals, try to put his neck more where his jaw ends, and make it long. Animals have intensly shapely bodies, you have the head pretty much perfect, but if you just look at a picture of a wild wolf, I bet you'll be able to draw them like a pro in like a day.Kudos to the face, it's ten times better then I could do. I suck at animals. -_-;;
Celestial_Wolfess (Oct 13, 2006)
Aww, thanks :) When you say where his jaw ends, do you mean the end of his snout or the other way? |
