It looks great either way. Completely understand what it's like to get burnt out after workin on somethin tedious for so long.

I come back to this again and again. It's one of my favorites on this site.
Aubrey (Jun 13, 2009)
Aww she looks so lonely, like she's moving away from her friends to some family member's house she's not used to and no one to ride with her.

I'm sorry that this "pic" is in the advance board.....but as you can see....I needed a bigger size board for this draw. It can be moved if necessary. I used a "ref" pic for this draw....but I did my own version of the "pic".....so it doesn't look the same as the "ref" pic....."lol"!!!

your detailing on the dress is superb!
davincipoppalag (May 18, 2009)
this worked out really beautifully
Aubrey (Jun 13, 2009)
I imagine this with that really cool old poster type writing on it advertising her number at some Cabaret or something of the sort. That would be awesome, but is great as it is indeed.

Such a shame when beautiful cars fall by the wayside like in this picture. But does make for great artwork!

enjoydotcom (Jan 11, 2009)
No complete reference, just glanced at several pictures for a guidance. For the animals I did use photo's of course. One layer drawing is fun.

Called mixed memories before I am also working from memory the one time I spent two days in the Venezuelan jungle. That vacation was money well spent. It was in 2000 and I still remember how wonderful it was.

Finished, for now, I keep seeing things to fix, but I'm at a point it might harm more than do good.

Bette, thanks for the comment.
Bubblicious (May 29, 2009)
Eh, give it time :) I'm sure people will notice it. I love it though! Especially the gator, and the cute little otters :3 I wanna play with them!
Black_Bird (Jun 1, 2009)
This pic reminds me of that riddle about the animals on different sides of the river and the boy on a raft needs to get all the animals across somehow without them killing each other.

This has a very 'pop-out' feel to me. Lots of interesting stuff going on here.
Aubrey (Jun 13, 2009)
Definitely could be the cover for a kids jungle book. My favorite part is the li'l grassy area and the cubbies. So cute!

this is a stunning piece. The lighting and the painterly style and the emotion are popping out all over this draw.

Might be done. Trying to decide whether or not to add background.
Roytje (May 31, 2009)
Nice. I like the atmosphere. The ear is a bit strange, though.
Aubrey (edited Jun 13, 2009)
This looks like it could pass as an illustration straight out of Hamlet.
