Dr.Moony: This piece and others like it are not "demons". They may look similar to what you refer to as demons but I assure you they're not, in any context. The subjects in these paintings do not exist in reality, they're not supernatural manifestations or anything like that. As well, none of these types of paintings are intentionally meant to be related to or be associated with anything religious, unless otherwise stated. Any demons I've drawn were labeled as such, maybe not always so directly but they were labeled and have no relation to paintings like the one above.
