great job on this elly! sometimes I wish there could be two first places. Congrats!
elly (Dec 15, 2007)
Gosh, I had no idea this took 2nd place! That shows ya how long I've been away.....again =( Hard to draw when you've got a sick child needing you every waking, and sleeping, hour of the day! Course then we ended up taking him to the hospital where we spent all day yesterday watching the drip, drip, drip of the IV pumping fluids in! All is well now tho.....thanks for the 2nd place!! Whooo hooo!
lori (Dec 15, 2007)

I'm not a big fan of anime art, but this is nice, even upside down.

I am relatively new to electronic drawing and so using the tools is out of my comfort zone. I usually try to create effects just by using paint & color, even when drawing electronically. I am amazed at the effects that artists create with these tools. I gave it my best try, and I hope I can continue to learn and use the tools to improve my art.

This drawing was done on the Lascaux board, using the following tools: layers, straight line, curve line, oval, filled oval, rectangle, filled rectangle, blend, blur, dodge, & burn. I tried to use as many of the tools as there were available for the board. I wanted to use the magic wand for something, but I still don't understand how or when I would use that tool.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments & feedback, and thanks Sweetcell for considering my picture in the running for 1st. I am honored to have placed 2nd. I am learning so much on this site and am inspired by all of the great artists here.

you are so good at glass jp. I love the chipped stopper - I used to have one just like that . . .
montezmaria (Jan 14, 2009)
Okay, this is awesome. That marble blows me away. You have some wonderful work here and I'm so glad I'm having a chance to see the rest of it that I haven't already seen. Excellent!

This is Shrek's debut in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2007.
Drawn on the Lascaux drawing board using WEB colors, blur, blend, square brush, eyedropper, straight line, and the undo (hooray for the undo!) features.

Always wanted to do stained glass.
Made use of the bezier tool, fill tool, intensity and density, harden, soften, dodge and burn. Oh, and made use of fun.

Glad this placed, it's wonderful!!
enjoydotcom (Nov 25, 2007)
Yup, there is a bezier tool, and so much better than the one you can use on shi.
Thanks for the comments, it was a fun contest.
Teapot (Dec 10, 2011)
It's fun and addictive and expensive, too. The glass and supplies cost quite a lot but you don't need a huge outlay of cash to get started. You should do it! I used to teach classes in stained glass. We made lamps and lidded/hinged boxes in the classes using the Tiffany copper foil method.
