I got a tablet and this is the first time I�ve used it and I�m nowhere near getting used to using it yet. I do believe this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship. Yeah, I know this picture is a piece of shit. I just whipped it together with the tablet. I'll get better at using it.

Yay so many people have gotten a tablet! I really really like this. It's way awesome. Tablets are really easy once you get the hang of it! Keep practicing.

Good to see you at it again ! Even your "pieces of shit" (which this isn't), are better than most of what gets posted lately. You will love that tablet, it makes it easier to draw and isn't so hard on your wrist.

If you're going to attemp furries, you should get a longer canvas, and focus more on the actual person and proportions, and stuff. Then you could get the details down faster.
edit: You should also try to spend a little more time on stuff, it'd probably look nicer. >_>

Boo on you naysayers. I can't really tell you how to draw a "furry," but I can tell you that this is a good piece. Its loose, sure, but thats not always a bad thing. The composition is nice. Both the color and shading are well done. I mean, this is a fast, loose, piece, but it's still one of your best in my opinion.

Focusing on the actual person is not always the best way to make a beautiful picture. Look at all the crappy furries people draw with backgrounds that are just a pattern or worse. (I am sometimes guilty of this too.) Putting your main focal point INTO (and not in front of) their environment makes for a stronger and more realistic picture.

Blegh I wish this came out better than it did. It was really hard to do because the picture was taken at a bad angle and I'm not good at realistic images. She looks all fat and ugly and stuff...I wish I didn't use the dodge and burn on her jacket >_<

Meh, I dunno if anyone will like this...but tips are really really appreciated.

S'ok. Good ideas but you kinda need to lighten-up on the blur tool...actually, you need to really lighten up on it. Don't get me wrong; considering you only have a mouse(right?) and you've only been drawing oekaki for a little while, this is a good shot. Not only that, your young: for many people it takes years of practice to do anything realistic. I've been drawing since I was...I don't honestly know...anyway, I still have the frickin' hardest time trying to draw realistically. Okay then...I geuss that's all I have to say. Oh wait, who's Katie Leung?

Yea, I use blur too much on the hair eyes and nose ^^;;. But no, I use a tablet. I'm not able to do anything with a mouse. And I've been doing oekaki since I was like 8 or 9, but stopped after a while, though I still did computer drawings. Yea, realistically does take alot of years, and I don't really try to do it but lately I've just been trying it out. Oh and Katie Leung is an actress. She'll be in the next Harry Potter film as Cho Chang. Yup...and thanks for the comment.

Yeah, I just got a tablet. I LOVE IT! <3 <3! Well Menchi is my first drawing with the tablet (if you want to look at it) and I think it turned out great for my first drawing with it! Congrats on the tablet!
