well the description just says you should expect that, but not that it has to be that long. I think the point of it is to say how much effort and time is generally needed to get the level of quality we expect. That said, I think this image is a little underdeveloped and some more time on the neck and maybe some shading would help it.

that's better than i did at my first drawing. don't start with such hard pictures. start with pix w/ little detail and, once you get the hang of those, move on. i suck too, but i know what 2 do as a newby bcuz i used to be one a short time ago. good job!
