It needs work Mary.You are getting there, but you really need to just sit down and sketch people, it's the greatest teacher.

As naziworm said, taking more time to sketch it out first does wonders. If you look at a person's profile you'd see the eye isn't right on top of their forehead, it's set back a bit, and it usually rests between the curve where the brow bone and nose ridge meet. (right now she looks more cyclops like) The nose is alright, maybe curve the tip a bit, and that line that connects the nose and mouth should be more u shaped (not too much) Set the ear back a bit more and make the upper lip smaller than the lower and this would be closer to a realsitic portrait. Only suggestions Itty, I think you've improved very much. I'd also make the hair not so.... round and low on the forehead. |

I dunno. c&c welcome, tis a fairy tree.... that I didn't work to hard on. XD. but still I like the idea... oh, yeah, I kinda sprung my wrist.. probably cause I masturbated and drew to much. XD. I'm still gonna draw though. >.<

Meant to comment on this yesterday but I was so bored I trolled the net then shut it off and sketched.The lineart and the coloring on your fox is great (that hand especially) your getting better at bg, just need to work more. And the fairy is sketchy but considering your sprained your hand (no, I don't need to know that much) this is a great pic. He's got a look, like he's thinking "Do I admire this fairy, or have it for dinner?" :D

I kept looking at this and kept forgetting to comment.I think you did a good job capturing the waxy look tulips have, it's near realistic, some more highlights and shadows would kick it up but as an artistic piece, if this was framed with a black matte I would hang it on my wall. |
