Hi dorothy, that's a pretty distinct profile you've drawn there. It's pretty rough around the edges but you definately have the potential to do better I think. Take your time, don't be in such a hurry, you might surprise yourself! ;) Oooh, and I highly recommend either Lascaux Sketch or Oekaki Shi-Painter, they seem to be the most popular.
Shortiebop (Dec 5, 2006)
you should try Oekaki shi-painter its easier to use and i think you will get the effects you are looking for.

Just something I did. No, it isn't THAT great. I'm new at this, and I've only got a mouse...and no knowledge of how to use this...oekaki...

Hi ^u^ Welcome to 2 draw :3
Well, if you need some advice, I think you're better off using Oekaki Shi Painter or Lascaux, since they're more efficient than the other applets :3
Oh and when I came to 2draw I wasn't entirely sure how to use the applets too, so all you have to do is practice practice practice and I'm sure you'll get better :3
jackie_yatsura (Dec 4, 2006)
i think its bettter than mine.I use my mouse and i have a graphire tablet i could use :)
dorothyblueeyes (Dec 5, 2006)
You can get a Fellowes touch-pad on Amazon.com for as cheap as seven bucks(good way to start).I'm now using a Cirque Super-Cat touch=pad for my mouse(on everything)and I really like it. Saves your fingers a lot.As for us "learning by doing",is there any reason none of the Oekaki sites ever publish any manuals online?Even basic?Or is the best way to just experiment? I can't believe you can't learn techniques from a manual. It would sure save time and trouble.

i know how you feel.
dorothyblueeyes (Dec 5, 2006)
It's ok...(good drawing) all finals are futile, cause only practice of what you have learned is worth anything; if you never use what you have learned, forget it.

The beast was ment to be killed :). My first drawing (or whatever you want to call it) here. Just for the fun of it. If you have any good advices how to improve this or my next painting/drawing/whatever with this peculiar drawing program, please tell them to me :D.

I'm sure I had classes with this guy....very Robert Crumb lookin"
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Dec 5, 2006)
I knew him... He drove a Ford Pinto... part of it was... kind of.. blue? (the part that didn't have primer on it). You could hook up with him in the parking lot of "Frenchie's" store after he met Earl Dean down by the Choo Choo Lounge on the railroad tracks. Earl Dean was easy to spot because he had a very, very large afro.

Yep, I knew this guy, I'm sure of it.
Shortiebop (Dec 5, 2006)
lol...DBA :) i think he kinda looks like Jimmy Hendrix on crack...lol good draw man...;P
dorothyblueeyes (Dec 5, 2006)

Some people have nice holidays.
Others have horrible holidays.
Then there are those who have..."fun" holidays.
Know what I mean? Ever have one of those?
I have and...um..yah-k 'nuff said.

not your best, but as with all your drawings it is very
interesting. you are very creative, and like me you
just need practice. All I can say is that it needs to be
more symmetrical, but what do I know? I like your shtuff
man. never give up.
