Im kidding, i dont dislike dave at all its just some friendly banter! i didn't even realise you had bought me a 3 month subscription to DA until a few week's after , i just thought you sorted out my subscription for free.I thought it was really generous and i'd like to thank you now, but because im an asshole 99% of the time i dont think you'll appreciate it much.Maybe i could repay you by drawing you a pretty picture, if you sorted me out a reference. |

QTgillie (Mar 18, 2009)
reminds me of the exebition at our local Science Museum about a year ago or so....called "The Body" It was incredible. An artist used real dead bodies to create interesting poses of the different parts of the human body. One would be just the red veins. Another would be just the skeleton, or the organs, or the circulatory system. If I remember corectly they all had some of the skin/and or musculature but then the other featured body part would be there also and always posed in some artistic manner, such as running. There were some that had been smokers and the damaged looking organs were all there....very gross but beautiful in thier own way. Some were all muscle or all cartilage and bone. It was an amazing exebition. Ok, I have rambled on for way too long now.....have a great day. |

I really like the gothic feel to this piece - The armour looks like a mix between classic medieval and samurai. I have to be honest, I think I prefer the first version with the unshaded bricks :o
davincipoppalag (Mar 18, 2009)
I think I like the first one better too..its cool though |

Just curious...do you ever use layers? This does not look like you do. I think your draws would be easier if you did. You can put the sky and water on one layer and the put the boats on top of that layer and then the crashing waves on the third. That way you don't have to draw the sky around the ships. You can always go back to any layer and touch up or add things to them, and you do not have to worry about what is on the other layers. When I first started using them I would get confused as to which layer I was on and draw things I didnt want on the wrong layers but once you get used to them they can really make your drawings look a lot better.
If I am all hosed up on my assumption just ignore me....
