There’s a still in the street outside your window
You’re keepin’ secrets on your pillow
Let me inside, no cause for alarm
I promise tonight not to do no harm
I promise you baby,I won't be no harm

And we're caught up in the crossfire
A heaven and hell
And were searching for shelter
Lay your body down...

Watching your dress as you turn down the light
I forget all about the storm outside
Dark clouds roll their way over town
Heartache and pain came pouring down like
Chaos in the rain, yeah
They're handing it out

And we're caught up in the crossfire
Heaven and hell
And were searching for shelter
Lay your body down...

Tell the devil that he can go back from where he came
His fire he airs all through their beating vein.
And when the hardest part is over we'll be here
And our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears
Boundaries of our fears

Lay your body down(6x)

Next to mine

I'm always shocked at how little love the Trigun manga gets--the anime is good, too, given what little foundation they had to build it on, but the manga was really something special. One thing that it excelled in was the characterization of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, one of my all-time favorite characters. Don't get me wrong, the anime version was great, too, but they had a lot of key differences.

The first being manga Wolfwood kicks more ass. Literally, he's unbelievably tough and wow can he fight. That's probably because unlike his anime counterpart he was genetically made to be more kick-assier, but when you read his action scenes in comparison to watching them on the anime, you can tell what a big difference there is. The second big difference is that when manga Wolfwood falls from grace, he falls /hard/. And it makes it all the more heart-wrenching to see. The picture above is one shot from the manga, where he smiles at the old orphanage leader who used to take care of him.

Anyway, my dorky description aside, Wolfwood needs more love, man. Love 'em, love his cliche'd yet entirely original look, love his personality and story, loooove love love drawing him.

EDIT: Oh, he's upside down because he's lying on the ground, looking up. It's a panel from the manga, during one of his fight scenes.

@The_Chosen: omg YES, and I am so goddamn excited for this movie--and even more happy they did it pre-Wolfwood-death. A lot of people wanted a continuation of the series, but to be honest there wasn't much left unresolved. And besides, after all this time, not having Wolfwood in there would have been a CRIME, I tell you.

Thanks a lot! ^^
davincipoppalag (Aug 12, 2010)
wtf?
Flubbles (Aug 12, 2010)
The face is upside down.
AshtrayDentist (Aug 12, 2010)
@davinci and Flubbles: AH, I should have written something about it in the description--he's actually lying on the floor part-way through a fight; so he's looking up from the ground.

The frog looks like it's part of the stone, you should distinguish the two more.

I was trying to make him blend with the rock for camo but I do see a few places where he blends too much
firecracker (Aug 12, 2010)
This little frog is so cute......my sister brought home a little brown toad that she found the other day......this froggie looks a bit like the toad. My sister named the toad "Ozzie" (after Ozzie Osbourne).....then we released the little guy in our flower garden...."lol"!! Very nice draw....:)
