ChinkyFlip (Feb 8, 2003)
Oh look! She even dressed to pose for a picture! :D! .. Wait.. O_o Whose shirt is that?
Maybe she's part bunny..? O_o I dunno'. Let's just pretend she's part bunny--that makes sense. Right? ^_^; Except her ears are a little short.. *Shrug.* BUNNY! BUNNY! >:O!
(The animation is pretty screwed.. Again. :P)

Also.. I decided not to make her breast-area too big. It would ruin her.. >.<

Nice details, I like her hair! I had my hair like that once only it was a dark, dark blue color. =P

Welp - that'd be what the name implies..."Crusher". hehe.
quintessence (edited Feb 10, 2003)
Oooh, fun. half-tones are spiffy.

I don't know why this reminds me so much of Mac Hall... possibly it's the dazed expression. ///_^;

A drawing of one of my characters, Reichal, chibi style. I was trying out this new applet thing and here are my opinions:

Pro:
The applet has SO many functions and for some parts, I felt like I was using an early version of Photoshop or something. The options and number of different variables are AMAZING
-love the multiple layers and how it works just like photoshop
-THANK YOU for making a desc of each tool on mouseover
-the history is EXTREMELY helpful.

Cons:
Well, though the number of options was amazing, it also made my computer lag. a lot.
-lagging. blame it on my pentium 2 processor, but still, I think this can be improved.
-the dodge tool works... strangely. different... it usually makes some colour shine or.. dunno how to describe it, but this dodge works like adding white to the colour...
-blur tool doesn't seem to work too well.
-the lagging. again. I closed ALL my applications and it still lagged like mad.

I think that about sums it up! All in all, I still think it's a great new applet, I just need to use the family laptop in order to draw on it because the laptop is pentium 4, not the 2 on this computer... *sweatdrop*

wooh! she's cute! and your colouring is smooth!!
ChinkyFlip (edited Feb 10, 2003)
AWESOME! You did a great job. :D
marcello (edited Feb 10, 2003)
-lagging.
I wouldn't recommend using lascaux on a computer under 450mHz or 128mb ram. Since they're already up to 7x that speed, it's not a big deal in my opinion.
I suggest upgrading to java 1.4.x, it's faster, more efficient, and even has some extra features

-the dodge tool
Unlike in photoshop where you can only pick 'hilights', 'midtones', and 'shadows' for your dodge/burn tools, lascaux lets you pick the whole range (from black to white)... a side effect of that is picking a non-greyscale color will produce curious but sometimes useful effects.

-blur tool doesn't seem to work too well.
It works fine for me, but you need to make sure you have a large enough brush (5x5 or more). You can still use smaller, but it'll create a different effect.

Is that a stained glass window?? O_o Because if it is, then "Whoa." And goddamn, that must've taken forever to do a design like that. I can see why it took you like an hour and a half.
Fin_beast (edited Feb 8, 2003)
that is fuking wicked!
rosalyn (edited Feb 9, 2003)
Wierd...Yet interesting...^^
WerefoxLeBlanc (edited Feb 10, 2003)
As for the color thingie, that's... the dream. hence the title.

The charactor here is a Kitfox with a trimmed ear. Furry body art.
Comments appreciated.

I'm doing a public beta testing because it is the quickest way to find bugs and problems.

If you aren't aware of what Lascaux Sketch is, I urge you to go to the Sketch Studio Web site and check it out. You can also download the JTablet Plugin for windows, that allows you to use pressure sensitive tablet support.

Is there ever going to be an "Animated" Lauscaux sketch..? It would be interesting to see how it works.
marcello (edited Feb 1, 2003)
Yes, animation support is already partially implemented, and will be part of the program by version 1.0, but I decided to leave it incomplete for the initial beta testing, since it's already a fairly powerful applet.
thehappywakeboarder (edited Feb 5, 2003)
this is a really great program...the selction systemis a little sticky but you adaopt and you move on. keep up the good (excellent) work.
ky (edited Feb 10, 2003)
I didn't find anything wrong... but then again, I used only a few of the tools. Everything seems to be fine standardus. I enjoy the mapping and the selection of moves one makes.

I concur that it is a powerful applet.
Continue the work.

OK, here's an explanation for picture:
USA invades Iraq. USA's army is overwhelmed by Iraq's army. Navy destroys half of Iraq. Army invades again and annihilates everyone. Knowing he's has nothing to lose, Saddam unleashes his weapons on USA. USA retaliates by dropping lots of H-bombs on middle east. Global warming causes Antarctica to melt. Young defenseless penguins die.
Or something like that. :)
