there is a thin line between pretty and trashy when using dodge and burn, and I suspect I just crossed it and stomped on it a few times for good measure.

It is?? How do you know that? There must be a few more of these "fake" glaciers then. There were several other photos like this too. But, These days I wouldn't be at all surprised if they were all faked. Oh well, it was fun to draw anyway =)
