somehow it looks really cute to me.. even with that strange looking beak and mouth.. if you would draw a bigger highlight on its eye, i think it would look a lot better, but dont do a pure white highlight but one that is a bit transparent..

If you can't finish it, you should leave it, I think it looks great like that. Those soft blends near the horizon line do suggest that there's a fire, or mist in a sunset
