I think when most people think of the X-Men..the first names that come to mind are like Cyclops..Wolverine..Phoenix..Storm..the main players..but if you go back a ways..there are a lot of cool ones that did not get as much coverage so to speak...one of my all time favorites was Illyana Rasputin..she was the little sister of Colossus..and had a spin off of her own comic from the X-men called Magik....If you ever have time and you are into comics you should look this one up..it's a four issue limited series..and I used the picture from issue 4 as a reference for this picture..i tried to stay as true to the character as possible...and give full original credit to the original artist....even though i took a few liberties....I am very happy with it so far....If I can get a link to the original picture I will post it..i would use my comic to show you..but my scanner is currently out of commision.....I welcome any tips or advice for this as I am at a little bit of a loss for a background... |

There was no grainy texture in the photo it was black and white, I just pissed about with it.

i was thinking that i might learn more from copying some great paintings instead of fotos. For my first one, i chose one of my favorite artists, Josh Kirby, to copy from. He was a really great artist, but its a bit difficult to find a good painting from him to copy, as he tended to do those really detailed paintings (especially on the Discworld books) for reference i chose one of his simpler paintings: http://andokai.blog.cz/0608/josh-kirby

reference phototrying to make the wings more part of her body.. lightened the face, it was too dark. and changed the eyes to green, you know, for the contrast.. got rid of the horns for now.. made the tail point towards the viewer. i think its a bit better now, but it might look even better if the tail rested on top of her legs. i'll try that later... got rid of the props, but now i don't know what to put there instead. or should i just forget the whole prop idea?... maybe i should just try out the classic (small) devils horns on her forehead?
Layne - thanks :D yeah, i too thought the wings should stay on. i think they more effectively sell the idea that she's some kinda demon that way :)

I think the horns on the forehead would be a good idea, and instead of a sword you could go with a whip.

Her face reminds me of some Ben 10 characters...love the lighting =)have anybody else noticed that it takes a lot longer to upload the drawings than before, or is it just me?
fixed her left leg (the one in the back), it was too short. had to move the whole picture a bit to the right.. maybe now that there's not that much of empty space on the right, i might get away without needing any props. But i would like to have something more, than just a naked demon chick in my painting, even if its just some jewelery.. hmm.. maybe its time to go look at Frazetta paintings for some inspiration :) elly - it does, doesn't it? :D i guess i and the artists on Ben 10 have just been inspired by the same artists.. yeah and i love dramatic lighting, you can imagine the forms much more clearly than if there's no shadows... it's like i can touch that ass in my mind :D haha :P Flubbles - i'll try that whip idea :) [Edit:] maybe its because its 5:48 AM and im really tired, but her head is looking too big to me.. i'll go to sleep and look at this with fresh eyes, maybe its nothing.. |

no, I know this picture is not easy to do, you just make it look easy. The white is hard to convey, and also the water. Very elegant and beautiful.

I like to lick mustard off people, does that count?We used to have a replica of this painting in our library growing up, scared the crap outta me when I was in there late at night. This does look a lot like it, you sure put a lot of time in your work, I don't know how you spare so much.

Yes,bazooms this big cause severe back trouble;it's the main reason big women have reduction surgery.But I find her skin to be satiny,wonderful textures,great colors;very sensual,so realistic,even.Beautiful work.Every big lady should look this good!(Wish someone had been around to paint me,when I was young,so well.)

jeez. She's having a bit of fun with a pulsating shower head, sillies. I like the way you handled the skin colors though she's quite pink...maybe from a hot shower. Having breasts that big would be sheer bloody hell.
