I'm constantly told I am a tornado... but I love them, anyway. This is so pretty... the way you used the colors with such fluid, translucent paint strokes is extremely effective, especially for this subject matter. Very well done.

You caught that odd glowy light they have around them and in them. Great looking entry
lori (Jan 23, 2008)
that's wild, nicely done
Sweetcell (Jan 23, 2008)
Wow................wow.
You keep getting better every piece. That inner glow of light and the huge F4 cloud. It looks like the kind you see on rainless days. Quick, get under cover people. (and don't strap yourself to a metal bar thinking it's going to save your life, if you don't get sucked up your oxygyn will)

Heeeey, I was doing that one too! Well, It is something I'm procrastinating on. Only have the bottom done-ish and some of the sky in there. yours looks better anyhow :D.
This one, right?! http://www.quantum-components.com/images/storm_eye1.jpg

Congratulations to jpjp1052 for winning Contest Week 70: Skyscapes

This has a great sense of "atmosphere," so to speak. There's so much going on in the clouds with near-black darkness at the bulk of the clouds and a turbulent light edge around it. I feel like this image is showing both calmness and action in a single frame.

On a side note, it's kind of interesting looking at the first version and then the last one and feeling like you're seeing the storm develop.
