(Venus and Mars) Occasionally I have a semi-creative thought...

Speak to me so I can understand your tongue
You seem rather fragile
It's been said
it's cold beyond the sun
Have you ever been there?

Communicating thoughts of ways to never have to speak again
let me be the fire in your head
Bring what's yours, I'll take what's mine
and meet you on the other side
We'll leave a sign so anyone can find us

A better place, a sweeter time
we won't need any wings to fly
A place beyond the sun....

Took less than half the time the clock shows... every time I tried to work on it I had to keep getting up and leaving it here.
Gigandas (Nov 10, 2005)
Ooh, nice texture on the statue here. You can almost feel it....
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Nov 10, 2005)
Hey! No touching the Venus de Milo! :) Thank you, Niel.
Gigandas (edited Nov 10, 2005)
lol, that reminds me of the time we were at the dinosaur museum when I was younger, and my lil bro was wondering what the little round censor was on the platform for one of the dinosaur fossils, so he put his finger over it and set the whole alarm system off. Haha....good times :).
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Nov 10, 2005)
hah... funny... We have a park not far from here.. Dinosaur Valley State park, where you can walk down by the river and all of the tracks are still there in the rocks, even the bird tracks. It's really cool. I have pictures of both of my children when they were little, standing in some of the tracks. It shows how large the dinosaurs feet were.
Gigandas (Nov 10, 2005)
Haha, that 'would' be cool. Let's see those pictures :)....(psst, in the Your Pics thread :P)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Nov 10, 2005)
I was just now thinking about trying to find them and scan them and put them there, actually... but I don't remember which photo album they're in... it might take me a few years. LOL
davincipoppalag (Nov 10, 2005)
The English would say.."...she looks 'ahmless" Lovely picture...I really like your Mars... We have a Dinosaur State Park here, also..similar..with the footprints and all that. I went up there, and ,damn. I found a couple of my own footprints...jeez.
Gigandas (Nov 10, 2005)
davinci-Hehe, I bet your prints are also worth a good amount of money eh?
davincipoppalag (Nov 10, 2005)
I doubt it hehe...
featherstone (Nov 10, 2005)
great idea, Cindy... it came out fabulous :)
LisaAnne (Nov 11, 2005)
Texture and concept.... :)
Agoylis (Nov 11, 2005)
WOW really great
marcello (Nov 11, 2005)
You made her look angry...
featherstone (edited Nov 11, 2005)
I dunno, I think I'd be pretty pissed if everyone and their mother was looking at my boobs and half my arm was missing.
davincipoppalag (Nov 11, 2005)
Lmao...hehehe
marcello (Nov 11, 2005)
she's a goddess. for crying out loud. =P
and what do people have against boobs? just because we live in a stuck up conservative world now, doesn't mean it was always like that.
davincipoppalag (Nov 11, 2005)
It's not really the whole world that's stuck up about boobs,,mostly the US..we like gore and violence and gratuitous killing better than female nudity here.
Caddris (Nov 11, 2005)
Well, think about it. If you were a god turned to stone and had your arms removed wouldn't you be more than a little irked?
Anyway, I don't think she looks that angry. It's a great picture. The texture is just wonderful and I love the ice capes on Mars. *goes to listen to Holtz's Planets*
featherstone (edited Nov 11, 2005)
nobody's got anything against boobs, Marcello... I mean, they're great.. just look at 'em... they serve a purpose and they're attractive, there've been many times in the summer that I'm bitching under my breath about men being able to go without shirts, and we women can't.. but like I said, I think it might bother me a bit to have everyone staring at my chest... men do that enough already without having to take your shirt off - must have somethin' to do with the whole rape issue
fleeting_memory (Nov 11, 2005)
I love how this artistic creative picture involving one of the greates sculptures of all time and the planet that has pulled at the fringes of mankind's imagination for years beyond counting has spawned conversation of boobs and dinosaurs. Interesting. This is beautiful Cindy and very creative. The only thing I don't like about it is that I didn't think of it first lol-but you did it more justice than I could have. The statue looks amazing-the chips in it make it look all that more realistic.
Dr.Snoopy (edited Nov 12, 2005)
looks really good.
