I tried to draw and it said I couldn't because Java was out of date. I updated Java and apparently my security settings are blocking Java?? It's a shame when you want to try something out and you get these sort of problems, it makes you want to give up and uninstall Java. I have heard it can cause a problem. Any tips please
thanks

there's a lot of issues with Java.. I'm ok using Java 7 update 9 others have found some other ways I think.. if you do that you have to uninstall Java 8 and then download Java 7

Thanks for the reply. I have tended to steer away from Java because of the problems but some site require you to have it. I am sure I have just downloaded Java 7 and when I go to upgrade it says I have the latest version. I will try as you say. Thanks

The latest version of java is mostly ok if the install is clean. Has its own security settings.

you might wanna explain what those settings have to be on to make it work here.. a lot of people are having issues with Java 8 some with Java 7... I have windows xp and java 7 and it still works on all the applets.. I cant explain how or why .. it just works but on my backup laptop.. which has windows 7 and the new java..it will not work

I've had zero luck with all java, it seems. :(

I have just done a clean install of Java it's version 8 32 bit, although I run Windows 7 64 bit apparently Firefox usually runs 32 bit unless otherwise stated in 'About Firefox'.
I then tried to draw and I got the message Activate Java and it gives you 2 options Activate for now or always activate. I then got a warning message 'Application Error > Application blocked > Your security settings have blocked an untrusted application from running. I have checked Java security settings and they are the lowest that you can have. I haven't changed anything in the Java advanced settings tab as I am not sure which to change or if the security settings mentioned are not to do with Java but the virus software running on my computer. I hope someone will be able to help as it seems that this is quite a widespread problem?
Many thanks for any contributions.

I have Vista and the latest Java so far I've been one of the lucky ones who have had no real problem. Still just making sure the Java cache is cleaned out first on desktop and then making sure it has 2draw.net allowed and then when I go to draw I have to let it pop up the allow ? thing and click yes for each time I draw. I am using Chrome and my tablet is an Adesso. (not sure if any of that helps) changing the level of security did nothing for mine. I had to go to the Security tab and it has a place that says Exception Site List. I had to add http://2draw.net there (it has an edit site list at the site to click to add that) I had to go through a lot of frustration before I figured that out. Not sure if that helps but hope it does.

I wouldn't but my comp gets super whiney when I don't. (locks up etc) I have it going on IE *shivers* dunno how had to fight with it but it wouldn't run on Chrome or Firefox. I thought maybe it was my AVG doing it. *Linkscanner sometimes will block it* but so long as I have a way to draw even if I have to use... *That* browser LOL I will see if I can get it running on Chrome or Firefox. It wouldn't run even the older versions and it wouldn't let me verify or anything at all.

Agreed. Ope a quick update. I haven't used Firefox in ages and I decided to update it to see if that helped and sure enough it did so I have it working in Firefox and IE. (I can live with firefox LOL) For some reason Firefox was blocking it. I suspect that is what is happening in Chrome though I dunno how to fix it with that just yet but hey progress :) I can draw and play on Pogo now so I'm happy :)

Ok, my bad on not checking back here. With V.8 update 40, pulling up Java Control Panel, aka Configure Java, shows 5 tabs one of witch is Security. Here there is a checkbox (enable content in browser), two radio buttons (high or very high security), and a text box for a Exemption Site List. Adding 2draw.net to that list (including the http) means that java on your machine won't care that the apps here lack for security certificates.
