I can't draw because when I touch my pen to the tablet it changes colors on me and the pressure is weird. I installed JTablet twice now. And tried drawing without it installed and it was the same shit. I can't seem to draw with a mouse anymore like I used to so I need someone to tell me what to do about this! Thanks. Oh, and also, when I start to open an applet a message comes up, something about it being a security risk because it's an unsigned application? I have to click "accept the risk" and try to draw anyway.. but what does that mean?

The security risk message is not an issue; I have that too and I draw without any issues.

Is your tablet a Wacom tablet? If so, I've had similar problems before. Uhm, not sure if I can remember what I did to fix it. But it seems to me that the color change sounds like the eyedropper tool was activated? Sometimes pressing and holding the pen tip to the tablet can activate right-click, the shortcut for eyedropper.

If that's what is happening, then you can go to Control Panel, then click Hardware & Sound, and then under "Pen & Touch", select "Change tablet pen settings" to turn off press and hold for right click. That fixes it for me sometimes.

The JTablet stopped working for me for some unknown reason, so now I installed the Alpha release of it, and pressure sensitivity works just fine for me. I really use just ChibiPaint, so I don't know how relevant all of this is, but I hope it helps.

Oh I love you! Thank you, that worked! EDIT: Well, it's doing the same thing again! And there's no place I can change any differently to make it work right. So frustrating!

Imperfect. Thanks for telling me about the tablet option in windows settings. Never knew that was there, and now Oekaki shi Painter now works somewhat, but the pressure sensitivity is all screwed up. Thinking it has to do with Java. Lori, I get that same security risk thing. I think it's either the version of Java, or your OS. I am using windows 8. Which are you using? Also, WOW! Just learned that Oekaki Shi-Painter has a lot more features I never knew about!

*Edit 1.2: By the way, JTablet Alpha is even worse than the older version. It seemed to work just great during the testing of the JTablet Alpha, using various pressure strokes. But when I actually try to use it in Lascaux Sketch there is no pressure sensitivity present whatsoever. Not only that but there is a "JTablet Load Error" every time I try to start up Lascaux Sketch. ( yeah I saw the Alpha JTablet was no longer in use )

*Edit 2: Well, I finally know why I don't draw here anymore. "None of the brushes work right". Pressure sensitivity is Broken. At least for me it is. JTablet just stops working when I switch brushes.

*Edit 3: Sorry, My fault. Apparently 2draw switches to another brush tip/pen when switching from brush to pencil. Working fine now.

lol Wraith :) Well I tried uninstalling the tablet cd driver, and went to Wacom and found the driver there and installed that, and it seems to work like a charm now.. I did just have one incident of the color changing when I clicked the tablet.. but it was fleeting and stopped..so hope it keeps working!

you have to have Java in order to draw but Java has security risks and for a long time my PC would block Java and this was very frustrating and no one knew how to help but after researching it online I found out that Java has a control panel found under other in my PC control panel and in this is the security setting for Java and I set it to medium which allows me to draw again

Will try all of the above because I can't draw here. :/

If you can get it working well, that's cool. I am finally able to draw again in Lascaux Sketch but I don't because I still feel like Lascaux needs a serious update. Marcello where are you?

I realize it's pretty outdated (the first version of Lascaux was released nearly 11 years ago), but I have no plans to work on Lascaux, sorry. :-(

THE WEBSITE IS SCREWED; I CAN DRAW ON OTHER SITES, BUT 2DRAW REJECTS JAVA 8, AND UNTIL IDIIOT MARCELLO FIXES IT, I'M NOT HERE.

Well don't take it out on Marcello...a lot of us have no real issues here...

Don't be calling Marcello an idiot dorothy or whatever your real name is! He's probably smarter than all of us combined. He made a great site and applet that so many people enjoyed for so long and still enjoy for free! If you can't accept that perhaps he's moved onto bigger and better things then screw

It is gone now Dave, banned...

Unfortunately I can only ban people if they post things, otherwise I'd go on a witch hunt and ban all who registered in the same period 2011 and never posted anything.
