It looked a lot better to me as a sketch, especially the head. I hate the head right now. The head is flat and the mouth is off somehow... Maybe too big. The back of the jaw is where it's worst? Maybe I don't have enough pixels to work with, like the canvas is too small for detail?

Now it's looking a little better.

Why did you make it so small, it's good

I like it a lot. Very small, though..kinda wish it were bigger to really be able to check it out!

It's a good one, I zoomed in about 6 times, looks even better! :)

Hey, thank you all for the comments! I'm really motivated to draw more now. I do see it's too small, for sure. I have trouble committing to the huge amount of work that a bigger canvas requires... But I really, really enjoyed this picture! It's been a while since I've taken my art seriously... A long time... But mostly because I got frustrated and scared I'd never be able to the art I really wanted to make. This picture, though, and your comments, really renew faith in my ability, or potential at least!

Thanks!!

Next picture will definitely be larger.

You just need a little more confidence in yourself! I used to feel the same way =) I don't think a bigger canvas requires more work, just longer lines...lol ;p....but whatever the size canvas, it's the effort you decide to put into that particular drawing. Some drawings get more effort than others depending on mood, inspiration, time...etc... altho this is rather small, I can see that you put your effort into it and worked with it. Keep it up! And welcome to 2d! I'm elly, nice to meet you =)

Thanks Elly! I feel like you really do know my problem pretty well, and love the perspective you put it in!
