Beautiful flower! Spring is in Pennsylvania too.....you should see all the pretty flowers "springin" up in our garden. Great draw!! :)
GreyGhost (edited Apr 19, 2009)
Good news and gorgeous tulip! It's definitely spring down south ... weather has been sterling these past couple of days :)
enjoydotcom (Apr 18, 2009)
Very good looking tulip. It's funny that my country is known for them, but when I look outside, you see daffodils everywhere.
On Good Friday it was 23C (73.4F) here. Spring gives people a spring in their walk.

Thats really pretty QT. The texture of the leaves and blossom look great
backmagicwoman (Apr 18, 2009)

Miss_DJ (Apr 18, 2009)
Qt this is beautiful! You're so talented!! wow
Bubblicious (Apr 18, 2009)
Beautiful QT! I had a tulip once, my grandma gave it to me when I was sick :) I have a black thumb though... so, needless to say... it kinda died.... Any way, really pretty draw, lovely like always!
bette_davis_eyes (Apr 18, 2009)
tulips don't have a very long lifespan anyhow, so don't think it was your fault .. but next time just take the bulb outside and plant it .. it'll bloom the next spring :)
QTgillie (Apr 18, 2009)
ooh, thank you all, yes bette, pretty hard to kill a tulip. they do need to be outside!! My first year out in Willmar (two hours west of the twin cities) the deer ate all of my tulip buds before they opened. I was so anxious to see them and then....poof, they were gone. If anyone has ever had the same problem, I pretty much fixed the proble by putting a very long shepards hook near the tulip bed and hung a windsock there. It scare the deer and they dont come near them.

This is my very favorite flower. I only wish they'd stay in bloom longer then they do. QT, this is so beautiful. The greens in the leaves are so nicely done, wow. Love this one of yours.

curious which one do you like better? This one or the one with the solid black background?
firecracker (Apr 18, 2009)
This background is really very awesome......but the solid black background shows up the flower a little better....but...I like both the backgrounds...Fantastic draw!!! :)
Miss_DJ (edited Apr 18, 2009)
I like the black better, too.....but the other is a cool background! Just takes away from the gorgeousness of this flower.
davincipoppalag (Apr 19, 2009)
I like the black too
enjoydotcom (Apr 19, 2009)
I prefer the black background. This one is nice, but the flower is so well done, it doesn't need trickery.
elly (Apr 19, 2009)
Fantastic painterly goodness! I prefer the textured bkgd for sure!! This is awesome QT!!

voila...gotta love layers, one can do things to an image, turn off that layer and do something else, the votes are in and the black background wins!
Pantera (Apr 21, 2009)
Beautiful tulip, I like the black background too :) Someone please send spring my way :)
QTgillie (Apr 21, 2009)
thanks Pantera, elly, Enjoy, poppa, Miss DF, FC, Ree and all, I switched the back to the black background due to the popular vote. Pantera, we are actually still teetering back and forth, but no snow....thank goodness....knocking on wook again.
