Cool drawing. I actually love going to the dentist!
IdaLee (Apr 8, 2009)
I don't love going there. My mouth is still recuperating from Monday's ordeal at the dentist's. This is a great drawing, though!

One time I had a tooth that needed to be extracted it was real late @ night.
so I did it myself.....I had to use pliers. man there was a lot of blood and let me tell
you without Novocain it is very painful :)
davincipoppalag (Apr 8, 2009)
I've done that too.. hurts like a mother...but feels so good when its out!!..I pried it out with a dental pic ( i use them for carving sometimes). I've made a lot of fillings over the years with ribbon epoxy too.. (I'm a very stupid man)

Great pic but it makes my mouth hurt!

This is really awesome "Gillie"......it brings back some "painful" dental issues that I went thru years ago. I spent a lot of time in the dentist's office. I hope you don't have to go thru the same things as I did. I would never have the "guts" to pull out one of my own teeth though.....I don't know how you guys were able to do that....it would be so painful! Great draw "Gillie".....I hope you finish it. :)

Yeah, never been and I think I'm glad. I brush my teeth and all that buuuuuut Dental care isn't something we can afford right now. So... yeah. Good job though!

Dental care isn't something we can afford
. Sorry to hear that...
Bubblicious (Apr 9, 2009)
Right now, lol. Things are looking up for us, so no need to say sorry, seriously.

Ok, here's the scooop. Everyone should be flossing. I rarely did. Now I have the beginnings of gum disease. Had to have my teeth scraped under the gums, which should correct the problem if I commit to flossing once a day. I also have several old crowns that need replacing. We do have dental insurance but only 1000 $ per year which is up in Aug so....they will only do one crown this year and then start the others after August. Whew, will take quite a while to fix everything I have so stupidly been ignoring. We moved four years ago and I have been putting off finding a new dentist since then. So dummjmmmmmmb. So now, you all will start flossing right? The scraping alone is $800....and the crowns they told me are $1600 a piece....wowser!

So I gather that dentist is not something everybody is insured for in the States?! You pay everything yourself?
QTgillie (Apr 10, 2009)
yes, if you dont have insurance. hubby does tho, but limited to 1000 per year and I think there is a deductable also.
elly (Apr 30, 2009)
We pay for dentist visits ourselves as our insurance doesn't include dental, unless you want to pay the ins co. out the ying yang! I go for cleanings every 4 months instead of every 6. I was just like you in my teen years and early 20's so I've had my fair share of saying 'aahhhhhhh'. I've pulled some of my own teeth out but they were baby teeth!! I had the scraping done, called 'scaling' and that's NOT a fun ordeal! Ever since that I vowed to take care of my teeth/gums! Great job on the draw, QT!! Happy flossing! =)

My mom tells me to floss... I still dont, and my mom's insurance for her new job just kicked in, so I think I'm going to visit the dentist soon. I hope I dont. Doesn't sound fun, like at all... I'll try to find some floss, maybe even steal some from my mom.
QTgillie (Apr 30, 2009)
good you two.....Bubble, I decided I like the Crest Glide. I does't shread like some others. I had bad teeth in college, got all of that fixed and took extremely good care of them from college until when we left Willmar, which I did not want to do. Got depressed and stopped caring about anything and put off getting a dentist. Now I am paying for my stupidity!
