I never want to draw a chain link fence again in my life.....bleh....pfffft....tadum!

I think you did an amazing job with this QT! I envy your patience with that fence .. love the fence shadow on their faces.

1st: I see children fenced in with flames, helpless and burning away. I think the image is conveying the destruction of the future by the past, as symbolized by the monument in the back. Of course, this is just my interpretation, QT may have intended something very different. I particularly like the style of this piece, it's very in your face and brightly colored, an interesting choice for the subject matter. The boy is looking off to the side, appearing very worried, it's subtle but effective, it adds to the tension. I particularly like the style of the flames and the intricate fence.

congrats on first QT!

Thank you very much Clox and bette. I really struggled with that fence. Not sure if you saw this unfinished when I just had the crosshatched fence there. I was going to leave it that way and then decided to give the twisting chain link that you see. I tried to copy and paste about six sections but could not do that like you can with oshi. Is that possible with Lascaux? Any way, then I kept gettin off on my over under, under overs and had to go back and redo and then it was off some where else. Very frustrating. Ironic that you mention the colours Clox, as I was thinking about how your colours on your people especially are so subtle, and I have a tendency to flood with colour. Yes, I thoughtthe childeren would be meaningful, especially with what is happening around the world and children are actually fighting thier country's wars. So sad. Hopefully our world will be at peace one day.
