I like the feel of it..needs more though
Teapot (Mar 30, 2010)
I thought...looks like a storm brewing...and then I saw your title, so ya know it works. I love this kind of sky right before a storm. It makes the seagulls looks like they're glowing.
firecracker (Mar 30, 2010)
great draw......but I agree that it does look like it needs a little more......you can really get the feel of a storm brewing here....very nice pic!! :)

Suntan (Apr 4, 2010)
ha, I never knew what I was...Coulrophobic..then why am I drawn to them? Pardon the pun, but I do like them out of the physical state, especially the bizarre. ;) Thanks vm, Bubbli and fc. :)

lynnandcharlie (May 4, 2010)
this on canvas would be very stunning, have you ever worked with water mixable oils?
Suntan (May 4, 2010)
no, I've tried only acrylics on one very sorry canvas. :0

The way you have depicted age with the sunken mouth, the collapsed brow and drooping eyelids, the wrinkled and thin translucent skin...and even the little hint of chin bristles...and yet her beauty and strong character shine through. What a portrait!
Roytje (Mar 29, 2010)
Thank you. I dont like to speak about my art, but this is one of favorites. :)
lynnandcharlie (Mar 29, 2010)
this is beautiful, I bet she is able to speak up for herself according to her facial expression

What about turbulence and turbine? I think instead of masturbating we should call it tinkering, it sounds much nicer and better describes it.
enirroc (Mar 28, 2010)
Hmmm, tinkering, that does sound nicer. Though, it also makes me think of someone working on watches or something, I don't know why really.
Teapot (Mar 29, 2010)
Or perturbed. I need to find someone who knows Latin and ask them what turb means. Wanking is another pretty harsh sounding word. Tinkering? Hmmm. I dunno. Fiddling has been used before.
lori (Mar 29, 2010)
LatinRoots_img1.gif, Latin Roots ... MEANING. EXAMPLES. ac, acr. sour, sharp ..... turb. agitate. turbid, turbulence, disturbance ...

Teapot (Mar 28, 2010)
Ah. Well, then, you obviously haven't watched enough Monty Python. :P
enirroc (Mar 28, 2010)
Not in a long time I haven't. I should though. I love re-watching things I haven't seen in forever.

Huh Eugen Ionesco. Romanian writer. I never come across romanian references and I'm always surprised when I do. You're quite well read Teapot.
Bobstained (Mar 28, 2010)
I dont read much but I watch quite a few documentary's.
Teapot (Mar 28, 2010)
Well, I didn't do it intentionally. It's just, ya know, if you read and you live long enough it's inevitable. :)
Bubblicious (edited Mar 28, 2010)
I love reading. My Heaven is going to be full of books, thousands of 'em, probably every book written. I seriously love reading....

Love the drawing.
