Thank you all very much , I'll for sure keep working at it, allthough I don't really have a way of doing these sorts of things.. I add/remove/add/remove...and end up being still not satisfied... I guess I have to get used to this a bit more....

I am not going to be finishing this, I don't think. It was a bit to big to bump down to the beg. board. Sorry about that.

Trying to play around with Shi. Color sliders are strange to use after using the others. Still not too bad. The watercolor tool is nice.

Excellent drawing! Great color tones!
davincipoppalag (Mar 27, 2010)
nice looking work
Teapot (Mar 28, 2010)
You don't have to use color sliders, that would be unbearably tedious. Open the colour picker by clicking on the 5th box down in the toolbox. Make yourself a palette if you want, then just right click on a color to use it. I like your drawing very much.
Layne (Mar 28, 2010)
Thanks Teapot! I realized that as I was working on something else at a later date, but I am glad that you were able to point it out to me too! I clicked on it and the colors all came up, and it was one of those moments where I went, 'Oh, well that's helpful!'

I am glad you like it. :)

Ah. Well, then, you obviously haven't watched enough Monty Python. :P
enirroc (Mar 28, 2010)
Not in a long time I haven't. I should though. I love re-watching things I haven't seen in forever.

Huh Eugen Ionesco. Romanian writer. I never come across romanian references and I'm always surprised when I do. You're quite well read Teapot.
Bobstained (Mar 28, 2010)
I dont read much but I watch quite a few documentary's.
Teapot (Mar 28, 2010)
Well, I didn't do it intentionally. It's just, ya know, if you read and you live long enough it's inevitable. :)
Bubblicious (edited Mar 28, 2010)
I love reading. My Heaven is going to be full of books, thousands of 'em, probably every book written. I seriously love reading....

Love the drawing.

See Lori! You inspired a drawing =) You can't see your ant hill because you keep moving it and keeping it hidden!

Thanks. Yeah, I did warm up the colors some. I wanted it to look a bit faded and old fashioned but don't think I accomplished that. In the ref photo (which I didn't follow much at all except for the pose) she seems to be kneeling next to a chair. Could be interpreted as rather suggestive, I guess. I'd kill for that hair.
Miss_DJ (Feb 23, 2010)
nice work, teapot. the dress pattern is great, as well as the texture.
firecracker (Feb 23, 2010)

Thanks.

I like the purple between her hair and forehead. The green on the face looks a bit misplaced.

But the style is going good :)
