More Prince of Egypt art. ^^

Maaan, Oekaki's a lot better--especially if you're using a mouse. Amirite?

Something seems off about it, but I cant quite place it.
Hokori (Apr 24, 2009)
I know, right? I can't figure it out myself. Maybe it's because I based her proportions on the original art in the movie--tiny chin, long nose... *shrug*
QTgillie (Apr 24, 2009)
this is unusual but I love it.
firecracker (Apr 25, 2009)
Very pretty......maybe her nose could be a wee bit shorter??? Nice draw!! :)

The Prince of Egypt, quite frankly, is my favoritest animated movie in existence--The Lion King, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid: most people have one of these kinds of movies to say is theirs. However, growing up with a lot of faith and a lot of love for art, I remember watching it when I was 7 or 8, thinking, 'Wow, this movie is beautiful... The art is so pretty'. What caught me more and more as I grew was the dedication put into the piece. Even now, I see little things I didn't see as a child. During the river scene, Aaron and Miriam take eachother's hand in the background. Tzipporah tells Moses the same thing he told her after the burning bush ("Look at your people--they are free." I always loved the way her face looks here). So many things... The music is powerful, the art is beyond any I've seen in an American animation, and the characters are real. Throughout the film, the way Moses and Tzipporah interact, or the way Aaron acts in the background... All these things make me wish Dreamworks would stick to animation instead of 3D work.

Sorry, I lost myself there. ^^

I recently jumped back into PoE, and I can't stop loving it now. It's what I hope to be as an artist: good at drawing, but also excellent at story telling. PLEASE, even if you don't believe in the Bible or whatever, see this movie. That's not what it's about, anyway. It runs a lot deeper than that.

Many nights we've prayed, with no proof anyone could hear~~

Done, I think. ^^ Nothing too extravagant, but I wanted to draw them, anyway. :)

I'll probably draw more from this movie...

Speaking of Prince of Egypt, Steve Hickner, the director/storyboard artist from Dreamworks just visited my Pictorial Background class in person to talk about what good story-telling is all about and how characters are best introduced within movies. And no, I'm not kidding :P.
Hokori (Apr 24, 2009)
@firecracker: You HAVE to see this movie, then! It's a classic! ^///^

@Gigandas: Lucky~~! I wish I could've been there. :'(

Ryo and Kaori talks about them being ten years apart, right before he asks her to marry him. XD

"If you like someone, then the age difference doesn't matter."
"Really?"
"Really. So?"
"So... Well, uh... So that's how it is... I see."

I really wanted to draw Ryo, at any rate.

Heeeeey, my computer is fixed and I'm finally back on. What lady's man is this? His name begins with an R! And mostly old school anime lovers would know who he is... No offense to people who like those girly boy shows/drawings, but the hunks from old animes would snap those bishie boys' spines over their knee without breaking a sweat!

For some reason, I decided to draw him like a yakuza. -_-,

Oh, heavens no, lol.

It's only one of the best films of all time, Oldboy. You NEED to look up Oldboy 'E is for Extreme' on youtube... only the best fight scene ever! Chan Wook Park is God! X'D
Rukia (Oct 11, 2007)

Hokori (Oct 11, 2007)

Heat Guy J just doesn't get the respect it deserves! It was a really good show, with totally loveable characters. So I shall give it a moment of my time and draw it a picture!

This is Daisuke, the lazy-calm-hero of the story. He's a nice fella'.

This is her character, Abbey, from Gnoph, located at Drunkduck.com. Check it out -- she's the master of watercolor!
